3. Advertising and the Meta Pixel
Ads on the website are managed by our monetization partner ActiveView through Google Ad Manager. ActiveView also measures traffic and ad performance with its own tools (cookies and the browser’s local storage). If you consent, Google and other advertising partners may use cookies to show ads based on your interests and to measure their performance; Google acts as an independent controller for this. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
On some pages that people reach from our ads on Facebook or Instagram we may use the Meta Pixel, only with your consent. We are joint controllers with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. for collecting and transmitting this data; Meta is solely responsible for what it does with the data afterwards. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers we need to run the website, under the contracts that data protection law requires:
- Hostinger International Ltd.: web hosting (servers in France)
- Cloudflare, Inc.: content delivery network, protection against attacks and aggregated visit statistics without cookies
- Google: analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising (Google Ad Manager)
- ActiveView: management of the website’s advertising and measurement of its performance
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.: campaign measurement, only with your consent
- Talent.com: provider of the job listings in our job search. When you click a listing you go to its website or the employer’s, where their own policies apply.
- Our email provider, to receive and answer your messages
We will also disclose data to authorities and courts where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
CRACKIA LLC is based in the United States, and some of our providers (Google, Meta and Cloudflare) process data there. Where a provider is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the “UK-US data bridge”), transfers rely on the UK adequacy regulations; otherwise we use the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. Our hosting is in France and Talent.com is based in Canada, both of which the UK recognizes as providing adequate protection.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. To exercise them, email [email protected] with the subject “Data protection”. We will reply within one month.
If you have a complaint about how we use your data, please tell us first through our contact form or by email with the subject “Data protection complaint”. We will acknowledge it within 30 days and keep you informed. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
7. Profiling and automated decisions
If you accept advertising cookies, our advertising partners build profiles to show you relevant ads. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
8. Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures suited to the risk, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, backups and regular software updates.
10. Changes
We may update this notice when our services or the law change. The current version, with its date, is always published on this page, and we will flag important changes on the website.
