Amazon Jobs in Canada 2026: Warehouse Roles, Pay and How to Apply

October 18, 2026

Amazon jobs in 2026 are mostly hourly warehouse and delivery station roles in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba, plus a smaller number of sites in the Maritimes. Amazon Canada hires fulfilment centre, sortation centre, delivery station and XL warehouse associates, along with corporate and technology staff.

In its 2025 Canada Impact Report, Amazon says it has more than 46,000 full-time and part-time employees and close to 70 operations sites across the country. The network includes 23 fulfilment centres, 4 sortation centres, 31 delivery stations and 6 AMXL delivery stations for large items.

Hourly jobs are posted on Amazon’s official Canadian hiring site, where you can see the shifts, pay and locations available. Use the button below to search openings near you.

Why people choose to work at Amazon

Amazon publishes its pay and benefits openly, which makes it easier to compare. The hiring process is also short: Amazon’s hiring site says no resume and no interview are needed for warehouse roles, and the online application takes about 20 minutes.

Shift choice is another reason. Amazon offers early morning, day, night and weekend shifts, and schedules from part-time to full-time, which suits students and people with other commitments.

Hourly Amazon jobs in Canada

The hiring site groups hourly work into four main roles. Duties vary by building, but the basics are similar across the network.

Role What the work involves
Fulfilment centre associate Receiving and stowing inventory, picking and packing orders, loading boxes, using scanners; some roles operate powered industrial trucks at heights of up to 35 feet, with training provided
Sortation centre associate Sorting packages by destination before they go to delivery stations
Delivery station associate Preparing and loading packages for the last stage of delivery to customers
XL warehouse associate Handling large and bulky items for AMXL delivery

Where Amazon’s warehouses and delivery stations are

Amazon’s 2025 Impact Report gives employee numbers by region. Ontario has the largest workforce, with more than 28,000 employees, followed by British Columbia with more than 10,000 and the Prairies with more than 7,000.

Fulfilment centres are listed in Delta, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows and Richmond in British Columbia, in Calgary, Acheson and Nisku in Alberta, and in Ajax, Belleville, Bolton, Brampton, Cambridge, Hamilton, Mississauga, Ottawa, St. Thomas and Toronto in Ontario. Delivery stations also operate in Winnipeg and Dartmouth, among other cities.

The report lists more than 500 employees in Quebec, all in corporate and technology roles, and states that Amazon.com.ca ULC has no employees in Quebec. Hourly warehouse openings on the hiring site are therefore in other provinces.

Amazon pay in Canada (September 2026)

On September 16, 2026, Amazon announced that its average hourly base wage for Canada operations employees rises to $26.27 per hour, effective September 27, 2026, up from $25.27 in 2025. Amazon says a full-time employee working 40 hours a week would earn more than $54,000 a year on average.

This is an average across operations roles, not the rate for every job. Pay varies by site and shift, and Amazon notes that most early morning and night shifts earn more per hour. Through its step plan, eligible hourly employees get planned increases every six months until their 24-month anniversary, and another at month 36.

Benefits Amazon lists for operations employees

According to the same September 2026 announcement, regular full-time Canada operations employees receive the benefits below. Most start on day one, while Career Choice and the Prime membership start after 90 days.

  • Extended health, dental and vision benefits.
  • An RRSP savings plan with a Deferred Profit Sharing Program (employer match).
  • Career Choice, which pre-pays 100% of tuition up to a yearly maximum after 90 days.
  • A Prime membership at no extra cost after 90 days of employment.
  • From October 1, 2026, 10% off online grocery and daily essentials on Amazon.ca for eligible employees.

Amazon’s hiring site adds that seasonal jobs do not qualify for benefits such as healthcare or paid time off. Part-time schedules come with an abbreviated benefits package.

How to apply for Amazon jobs step by step

  1. Go to hiring.amazon.ca, Amazon’s official hourly hiring site, using the button on this page.
  2. Search jobs near you and pick a role and shift.
  3. Enter your personal details, such as legal name, date of birth and address.
  4. Complete the online assessment.
  5. Review and accept the contingent job offer, which depends on passing certain screenings.
  6. Schedule your 30-minute pre-hire appointment, which Amazon says is unpaid.
  7. Upload your work authorization documents and a photo for your badge before the appointment.
  8. After the background check, accept the formal offer, sign the employment paperwork and set up your Amazon A to Z account.

Schedules and shifts at Amazon

Schedule Hours per week, according to Amazon
Full-time 40 hours, with a full range of benefits
Reduced-time 30 to 39 hours, with comparable benefits
Part-time 20 to 29 hours, with abbreviated benefits
Flexible Shifts you choose, with benefits depending on hours worked
Seasonal Full-time, part-time or reduced-time for part of the year, without benefits

Early morning shifts typically start between 4:00 and 6:00 a.m., and night shifts between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. In October 2025, Amazon said it planned to hire more than 7,000 seasonal employees for the holidays, so autumn is usually when seasonal postings appear.

Requirements for Amazon warehouse jobs

You must be able to provide work authorization documents and pass the required screenings, including a background check. On your first day, Amazon asks you to bring a government-issued photo ID or a school ID with a photo and to wear safety shoes.

The work is physical, with long periods of standing, walking and lifting. Amazon offers accommodations for people with disabilities during the application, interview and onboarding process.

Tips before your pre-hire appointment

Amazon’s FAQ says pre-hire appointments fill up quickly and are released as jobs become available. Check your candidate account daily and upload your documents early, because the appointment is cancelled if they are missing.

Choose a shift you can keep. Rescheduling can mean losing your selected shift and any sign-on bonus attached to it.

Training and career growth at Amazon

Amazon’s Career Choice program covers eligible employees in fulfilment centres, delivery stations and sortation centres. The 2025 Impact Report says it now pre-pays 100% of program tuition up to a yearly maximum, that eligibility starts after 90 days instead of one year, and that more than 12,000 people in Canada have taken part since 2014.

On the job, Amazon’s hiring site lists free on-the-job training, career development and learning new skills among the reasons to join. In fulfilment centres, training is provided for roles that operate powered industrial trucks.

How to spot fake Amazon job offers

Amazon’s hourly jobs are posted on hiring.amazon.ca, and you never pay to apply. Your offer and appointments appear in your candidate account, so treat any job offer sent only by text or social media as suspicious.

Do not send money, gift cards or banking details to anyone who contacts you about an Amazon job outside the official site. If a message looks unusual, log in to hiring.amazon.ca directly instead of clicking the link you received.
